Our Story

Everything started in Argentina back in 2017 when Maria looked for affordable, flavourful, and well-designed cake to celebrate our daughter's first birthday.

Without many options available, she came up with the idea of combining her skills in graphic design together with the culinary techniques she had learned from her grandmother and her passion for baking goods.

The overwhelming response led her to share her creations with everyone who wanted to celebrate an important occasion with a unique culinary experience, sparking the birth of Cherry Cakes.

Then in 2021, we made the life-changing decision to move to Canada. This took us to a new culture, far from our loved ones, but with the same desire to serve our local community with home made cakes.

The Team

We are a small family of three: Maria, the culinary genius behind our creations; Chelo, who is responsible of all the accounting; and our little Clementina, our quality control specialist, always testing and approving everything made in our kitchen
